Privacy policy

This site is run by Stoxtox LLC, which trades as Doometrix, in New Jersey, USA. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Questions go to quotes@doometrix.com.

Only what we need to quote, make and ship parts, and to get paid:

• Form details. Your name, email, company, topic and message when you use the contact or quote forms.
• Files. CAD models, drawings and photos you upload or email, plus the options you choose for them.
• Emails. Messages you send us and our replies.
• Order and billing details. Shipping address, billing contact, PO numbers and invoice history.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to run and protect the site.

We never see or store full card numbers or bank login details. Stripe collects those directly on its payment pages.

• to invoice you and keep business and tax records, and
• to keep the site running and protect it from abuse.

We don't send marketing email unless you ask for it. We don't use your files for anything other than your order: not as samples, not for other customers, and not to train software.

We use a small number of service providers. Each one processes data on our behalf, for the purpose listed.

Vercel

Hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.

Vercel Blob

Stores the files you upload for a quote or order.

Resend

Sends and delivers our emails, including form notifications and quote emails.

Stripe

Handles invoices and payments. Card and bank details go to Stripe, not to us.

When a partner shop makes your part, it receives the files and specifications it needs for that part, under a confidentiality agreement. The carrier we ship with receives your delivery address.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.

We don't sell your personal information or your files. We don't share them with advertisers or data brokers.

This site doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud.

• Files for quotes that don't become orders: deleted within 12 months of the quote.
• Files for orders: kept for up to 3 years so repeat orders match the original, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Invoices and order records: kept for as long as tax law requires, usually 7 years.
• Emails and form messages: kept while we are working together and for up to 3 years after.
• Server logs: kept for the hosting provider's standard retention period, which is short.

Email quotes@doometrix.com to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We confirm the request within 1 business day and complete it within 30 days.

We delete files on request at any time, including during an open order if you cancel it. The only things we keep after a deletion request are records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices.

These choices are open to everyone, whether or not a state privacy law requires them. We won't treat you differently for using them.

The site runs over HTTPS. Access to files, emails and order records is limited to the people who need them to do the work. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

This site is for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we'll also tell customers with open orders by email. The terms of sale cover how we treat your files as part of an order.
